Embed Brimbank Tech School’s industry-driven programs into your curriculum. These programs can be delivered fully at Brimbank Tech School, or through a hybrid approach where lesson plans and resources allow the program to be delivered in your classroom, with key visits to Brimbank Tech School built in.

All programs incorporate the elements of learning and teaching in the VTLM 2.0, promoting student agency and effective learning for all students.

Youth Impact Studio

Powering the next generation of podcasting

Working like a creative studio, students design and deliver a multi-format campaign: short videos, audio segments, graphics and optional interactive pieces under the theme “Future Voices: Messages for Tomorrow.”

They apply editorial judgement, ethical media practice, and design thinking to publish for a real audience: their schools, local
council and community.

ArenaLab: Your Esports Startup

Building business ventures in competitive gaming

Students build a venture concept (league, content studio, or services) with market fit, operations plan, ethics, and monetisation.

They pitch to stakeholders with demo assets and a simple financial projection.

Future of Sustainability

Habitat Hub: Sustainable Communities

Exploring logistics across multiple modes

Students engineer closed-loop power, water or air subsystems for a Mars analog and translate circularity lessons
back to Brimbank.

They validate choices with sensor data and site context, then present a resilience comparison.

Velocity Pit: The Eco-Racing Challenge

Eco Racing at its finest

Students tune vehicles or drones for efficiency and safety using telemetry and track design; they run a season and iterate engineering choices.

Teams address community considerations such as noise, privacy and wildlife in the race
brief. This leads to either the STEM Racing or Drone Racing Competitions.

Tech support for a digital age

Students build an AI-enhanced training app that captures simple motion data and provides coaching prompts; they
evaluate privacy, potential bias, and consent.

Teams deliver a tested prototype plus a short training-impact
summary.

FusionWear: Smart Fashion Lab

Creating the next leaders in fashion

Students design, fabricate, and test sensor-based wearables that can monitor or create movement and respond to stimuli.

They iterate for reliability and comfort, then present a portfolio and technical spec sheet, incorporating
privacy-by-design and user testing.

RiverLens: Mapping Change

Protecting networks from modern threats

Students collect and map river data to evaluate environmental and community effects of infrastructure; they deliver a balanced report and dashboard.

They integrate appropriate waterway stewardship and data custodianship
practices into their reporting.

Cyber Shield: Build Your SOC

Behind the lens of Cyber

Students build a mini Security Operations Centre (SOC) within a green data centre context, designing and defending critical operations and infrastructure.

They investigate sustainable data centre design, exploring energy efficiency, cooling systems, and renewable power strategies, merging cyber defence and green infrastructure.
